WHAT IS DERMAPLANING?
Dermaplaning is a highly effective and safe manual exfoliation procedure. Using a medical-grade sterile blade to gently glide over the surface of the skin and remove excess keratinised skin cells and fine, vellus hair. This treatment leaves the skin smooth, brighter, while also helping with better product absorption.
Qualified therapist’s are taught the correct techniques and direction of dermaplaning and the safe amount of passes recommended for each skin type and different area on the face. Including how to prep the skin and finish off the treatment correctly.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAINING
We train Beauty Therapist, Enrolled Beauty Therapy students, or any beauty qualification in skin care, Dermal Therapists, Nurses (RN/EEN), cosmetic nurses and doctors with experience in skin care.
This treatment should only be performed by a qualified professional to avoid over exfoliation of keratinocytes and impairing the skin’s barrier. The chances of causing scarring and chafing are high if the incorrect tools or methods are used.
ABOUT THE TRAINING
Our Training Package consist of 2 stages:
• Stage 1 - Students will begin the day with theory. An introduction to dermaplaning, products, blade knowledge and practice, health and safety, contraindications, client consultation, consent forms, procedure protocols, post care, how to price your treatments and purchase more stock.
• Stage 2 - Extensive Practical Coaching, with face to face training on two or three models with our qualified trainer Mona, with a maximum of two students in class. Including advanced dermaplane protocols and tips and tricks used by Mona in her own business. It is recommended to book models following your training before introducing this treatment to clients.
Training is located in Concord Sydney and runs for approximately 5 hrs with one student or 7 hrs with two students. Trainers don't travel unless your clinic is local.
Theory, Practical and Starter kit
Our kit includes all the tools you need to perform the full dermaplane protocol, with a variety of blades, dermaplane tools and cosmeceutical skincare products. The kit contains over 30 treatments to use in your own clinic after training. With a profit margin over $3000, saving you the cost of the course with profit!
